This isn’t my only tattoo but it is my latest and most meaningful. It is in memory of my great granny who was the greatest and most selfless person I have ever known. She took the place of my mother when she abandoned my family and I when I was 7. She had a rose garden that had more then 15 different types of roses. I helped her tend to the garden up until she passed away, and when we sold her house I carefully dug the roses up and dried all of them out and they are in a shadow box for my granny. This is a permanent reminder of the time we spent together.

I have quite a few tattoos! All of them have been done during transitional periods of my life… I guess the best story though is of my 1st tattoo. Its a heart with wings, real generic, ya know!? My mom took me down to Tijuana when I was 15 to get it, because no one in LA would tattoo a kid! She dropped me off at a tattoo parlour with $ 300 and a codeine. The guy who tattooed me was named Iguana and spoke no English, yet he totally took care of me and did an awesome job. To prove my toughness, I did not take the codeine during the 3 1/2 hour session…. But did reward myself with it afterwards! Its not the prettiest tattoo, or the most unique, but it sure as hell has an awesome story attached to it! :)
